Sandbach Nub News is delighted to bring readers news of a grant offer provided by one of our business partners which is improving the quality of life for local people.

_______

Residents who qualify are being invited to submit a grant application to improve the quality of their lives through eco improvements to their homes.

Improveasy, an energy efficient home upgrades company based in Altrincham, has won a contract with Warrington, Cheshire East and Cheshire West councils to deliver fully funded home improvements to qualifying residents.

Among improvements the grant funding can help provide are solar panels, an air source heat pump, and all types of insulation at no cost.

If you are on certain benefits or have a combined household income of £30,000 or below - you can apply now for the Home Upgrade Grant (HUG).

This grant is given on a first come first served basis as the funding is limited, so people need to apply now before losing out on this money saving opportunity.

Founded in 2011, Improveasy has helped to deliver government funding for home installations for more than 10 years across the country.

They can check if you qualify, assess your property, and install the work. You do not need to own your home. In the current energy crisis, this scheme allows people the chance to save hundreds a year on their energy bills.

The grants are sourced from government through the HUG scheme, which is aimed at helping people who cannot easily afford home upgrades themselves. The government awards funding to local authorities to help them upgrade energy inefficient, low-income households.

Landlords can also apply for the scheme on behalf of their tenants. Current regulations require minimum energy efficiency standards to be met in England and Wales before houses and flats can be let to tenants. This is due to change to be even more efficient over the next few years.

You can qualify for the funding if:

Your home is OFF the gas grid

You live in a property with poor nergy efficiency (EPC ratings of E, F, or G)

And

You, or someone in your household, is in receipt of any of the following benefits:

  • Child Tax Credit
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit
  • Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

Or

Your combined household income is below £30,000

Call 0800 058 4240 today or go to improveasy.com to see if you qualify.

If your home is on the gas grid, but you still qualify for every other aspect, call Improveasy on 0800 024 8505 as there may be other forms of funding available for you.
