A fire involving grass and wood is thought to have been started deliberately

Firefighters are treating a blaze involving grass and wood in nearby Middlewich as deliberate. 

  

One fire engine from Sandbach went to Eardswick Road at 5.07 pm yesterday (Monday). 

A Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Deliberate ignition is suspected as the cause of a fire involving grass and wood.  

"The crew used a water backpack to put it out."
