A police committee is looking for members to join

Police & Crime Commissioner for Cheshire, John Dwyer, and Chief Constable Mark Roberts are looking to appoint members of the Joint Audit Advisory Committee (JAAC).

This provides independent assurance around the governance and financial arrangements of the Constabulary and Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.

 

While it is not a scrutiny function, the JAAC supports good governance and strong financial management and advise the Commissioner and Chief Constable directly.

Members must have a good understanding of risk management, governance, audit and financial controls and the annual accounts.

A small remuneration package is paid to members. More information on the role and how to apply is available here.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on 4th January 2023. Shortlisting will take place in January 2023 and interviews are planned for January/February 2023.
