All eyes on Boots Opticians as it unveils new-look equipment and store

A Sandbach opticians has officially unveiled its new state-of-the-art equipment and premises after a major refit.

And practice manager, Ravi Parmar, says the new-look premises will help to deliver a first-class service to the town's growing population. 

Boots Opticians in Congleton Road was recently closed for a short period to allow building work to take place.

And today (Friday), Mayor of Sandbach, Councillor Laura Crane, officially cut the ribbon to open the new-look store. 

More than £150,000 has been invested in new equipment and alterations to the branch.

Branch manager, Ravi said: "As a town, Sandbach has been growing and we as a practice have been getting busier as a result. 

"We were unable to accommodate the demand for the current population, hence we have needed to refurbish to increase our capacity so we can deliver eyecare in a timely manner for our patients. 

"We provide NHS Eye Tests- NHS Emergency Eye Appointments and NHS Diabetic Retinopathy Screening at the practice as well as contact lens care and various other services."
