Appeal for information after men seen assaulting each other with makeshift weapons

Police are appealing for information after a disturbance in Sandbach last night (Sunday) during which men were seen assaulting each other with makeshift weapons including spades and bats.
Cheshire police say there were called to a distrubance at 6.59 pm in Bradwall Road, Sandbach and when they arrived the men left the scene leaving cars behind.
A police spokesperson said: "A number of cars had collided with each other and men were seen assaulting each other with makeshift weapons including spades and bats.
"A garden wall was also damaged by a car. The men left the scene on police arrival and cars left in the road were seized by officers. Enquiries into the disorder and those involved are continuing."
DS George Booth said: "Incidents such as this are thankfully uncommon in Sandbach, but we understand it will have caused some alarm among residents.
"We have increased patrols in the area to provide reassurance while we investigate the incident."
