Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage a series of burglaries in the Sandbach area.

Between Monday 24 November and Wednesday 26 November, police were made aware of four burglaries in the local area.

All of the incidents occurred during daylight hours and on each occasion, offenders gained entry via patio doors.

Once inside they conducted an untidy search and stole a number of items, including watches, cash, sunglasses, a Hermes scarf toggle and high value jewellery.

The offences began on Monday 24 November, when offenders gained entry to an address on Congleton Road. Then, on Tuesday 25 November an address on Heron Way was broken into.

Finally, on Wednesday 26 November two homes were targeted on Deans Lane and Crewe Road.

Enquiries in relation to the incidents have been ongoing and as part of their investigation officers have released a CCTV image of a man they are looking to identify.

Detective Constable Kevin Lloyd, of Crewe Proactive CID said: "I understand the concerns these incidents are likely to cause, and I want to reassure residents that we are committed to doing all we can to identify the person responsible.

"As part of our ongoing enquiries I'm keen to identify the man in the CCTV footage as I believe he may be able to assist our investigation.

"We're also asking residents to check their CCTV and video doorbells to see if they have any footage which may aid our investigation.

"We'd also like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious."

Anyone with any information in relation to the incidents is asked to contact Cheshire police on 101, or at www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us quoting occurrence number 25000962702.

DC Lloyd added: "I would like to take this opportunity to remind anyone living or working in and around Sandbach to be vigilant and to make it as difficult as possible for criminals to break into their homes, outbuildings and businesses.

"They can do this by following our anti-burglary advice."
