Police are appealing for witnesses and footage following a serious collision on the A50.

At 11am last Wednesday (4 March) police were called to reports of a collision on the A50, Knutsford Road, Cranage, near to the junction of Goostrey Lane.

The collision involved a black BMW motorcycle and a red LDV van.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 27-year-old man from North Wales, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to get in touch with them, as well as anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage which captured what happened.

Detective Sergeant Amy Hollis said: "As part of our enquiries, I would like to ask that anyone with information which may assist our investigation to please come forward.

"The same goes for anyone who may have captured any dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident."

Information can be submitted to Cheshire Police via the website or on 101, quoting incident reference IML 2282192.
