Barclays Bank announces it is closing its banking hub in Sandbach

Barclays Bank has announced it's closing its banking hub at Sandbach Town Hall.
The hub, which has been open from 10 am until 4 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, will close on Thursday, November 13th.
Barclays say the way people are banking has changed and more customers are choosing to bank digitally.
Barclays said in a statement: "Barclays Locals were introduced as a flexible, cashless, way to support customers with their in-person banking needs.
"We regularly review our services and adapt to demand from customers. As the number of shared banking hubs grow, and our customers increasingly choose to bank digitally, the number of customers visiting our Locals has changed
"The Local closure will be in accordance with our regulatory obligations. We will contact customers who have visited our Local recently to let them know the banking alternatives that are available.
"Our local customers will also be informed of our decision at least 12 weeks before the change via a letter and we will make available our Reasons for Closure document."
Barclays added: "Barclays is committed to providing a modern banking experience for our customers and clients. This combines our network of over 200 full-service branches in major towns and cities across the UK, alongside the growing number of shared banking hubs, our flexible Barclays Locals, vans and our digital app.
"We will continue to invest in our branches by modernising premises and upgrading self-service and ATM technology. In certain branches with high footfall, we will be increasing the number of colleagues and opening hours to meet demand."

There has been a Barclays staff member sat inside the High Street municipal building, to help customers with their banking needs since the service was launched.
There are Barclays Local in Holmes Chapel, Kidsgrove, Macclesfield, Congleton, Wilmslow and Alderley Edge.
The so-called 'banking hubs' were launched as an alternative after Barclays shut branches in the aforementioned towns.
A Barclays spokesperson told Sandbach Nub at the time of opening two years ago: "This service is for those customers who wish to have an in-person banking presence by offering the ability to visit Barclays, albeit in a different environment.
"Customers visiting the Barclays Local will be able to access a wide range of services including financial reviews, balance requests, support with open savings accounts and with digital banking. As the Barclays Local site is a cashless site, everyday banking transactions will need to be completed at the local Post Office.
"Barclays is committed to deploying a range of more flexible ways that customers can physically interact with the bank.
"The bank has opened over 270 Barclays Locals around the country, in community locations such as town halls and community centres, where customers can drop in or make pre-appointments with colleagues. Customers are also supported by a fleet of Barclays vans which travel to more remote areas."
