Boy, 11, taken to hospital after being in collision with a car in Sandbach

An 11-year-old boy was hit by a car in Sandbach and taken to hospital by his parents as a precautionary measure.

Police say they were called to reports of a collision in Newall Road, Sandbach at 3.15 pm yesterday (Monday).

A police spokesperson said: "The caller reported that a child, an 11-year-old boy, had been hit by a car near to the junction of Crewe Road.

"There were no reports of any serious injuries, but the child was taken to hospital by their parents as a precautionary measure."
