Building work gathers pace converting the former Saxon Grill building in Sandbach

Progress is being made turning a former town centre pub which set to open as a new eaterie.
The old Saxon Grill/former Crown Hotel has been empty for some time and residents were worried the building was falling into disrepair.

But builders are working hard on the building inside and outside the Market Square property and the garden area.
A spokesman confirmed previously the listed building was reopening as an "eaterie" and was now privately owned. He refuted rumours it was going to be a Turkish restaurant. No further details have been released at this stage.

No further details were revealed about the plans for the building which is opposite the town's historic Saxon Crosses.
