Business owner, Hannah Donkin has hit another high note – as a finalist in the Best Business Women awards.

The brainchild behind the fast-growing Music Squad business has been shortlisted in the prestigious awards.

Hannah, who has been playing the piano since a child, decided to leave the corporate world and set up her own business.

Now the former Alsager woman who now lives in Sandbach has been selected as a finalist for the Best New Business and the Best Businesswoman Working with Families and Children.

Hannah said: "I'm so excited to have made it as a finalist for these amazing awards and to be ending the year on such a high!

"I'm so thankful to all the amazing parents and children and schools who have embraced Music Squad this year and I can't wait to help even more children to fall in love with music next year."

Hannah set up her own business during lock down, first moving back to Alsager to be with her parents then moving to live in Sandbach.

The Best Businesswomen awards are designed to recognise the achievement of female entrepreneurs from a wide range of industries all of whom are excelling in their chosen field.  

Debbie Gilbert, the organiser of the awards said: "This is the eight year of these prestigious awards and despite the difficult circumstances business owners have faced, these businesswomen have shone through the dark times. 

"Our judging panel, all business experts, were blown away by the quality of the entrants.

The gala final will be held in London in September where the gold winners of each category will be announced.
