Are you good at jigsaws? St Luke's Hospice could have the 'missing piece' to your social calendar with a brand new event coming to Sandbach this month.
The Cheshire Open Jigsaw Championship will be taking place on Sunday 26th February at Sandbach Masonic Hall (pictured below) to raise money for patient care at the Hospice.
It promises to be a unique and entertaining day out with an added element of competition.
St Luke's Events Fundraiser, Mark Gammage, said: "We're really excited to bring Cheshire's first ever jigsaw competition to Sandbach this month.
"St Luke's is always looking for new and unique ways to raise vital funds for patient care, and we found that there is a real enthusiasm for puzzles and jigsaws, so it seemed the perfect opportunity to call on Cheshire's jigsaw enthusiasts to take part and have a fun day out while supporting their local Hospice."
There will be two competition categories – individual and teams of two. Each individual/couple will be given an identical 500 piece jigsaw and then have two hours to complete it (or do as much as possible).
St Luke's would also like to run a "bring and buy" stall of jigsaws on the day, so make sure to bring along and donate any jigsaws you've completed and pick out a new one.

St Luke's Hospice cares for adults living in mid and south Cheshire who are suffering from cancer and other life limiting illnesses.
It also supports family members including children and carers who are affected by the diagnosis both pre and post bereavement.
There are day hospices at Winterley Grange near Sandbach and Winsford. Care includes a complementary therapies clinic, a counselling team, social work team and a Lymphoedema clinic.
St Luke's is a charity funded by voluntary contributions; we have to raise £8,152 each day to enable the Hospice to provide free care and support to local people.
For every £1 donated to St Luke's 85p goes to patient care, while the remaining 15p helps us to raise another pound.
