Canine wellness company gets ready to open shop inside Sandbach indoor market

A canine wellness company is getting ready to open a shop in Sandbach.
Crewe-based Finns Journey, a holisitc dog training, behaviour and nutrition business, is opening a unit inside Sandbach indoor market.
The business has taken over the lease of the Hightown Menswear unit, which is continuing trading with two tables in the market and will Saturday, September 20th.
Finns Journey has been trading on a table from the indoor market for two years and will continue with this until they open the new unit later on this month (September).
A spokesperson for Finns Journey said: "This is a huge milestone for us - a reflection of two years of hard work from the entire Finns Journey team.
"The opportunity to grow in this way means the world to us, and we're already rolling up our sleeves to get the unit ready for its next chapter.

"We'll be sharing updates as we go, but for now, we just want to say thank you. Your belief, trust, and support have made this possible. Every kind word, every visit, every shared story and every purchase has helped us reach this moment.
"Here's to new beginnings, deeper connections and continuing to celebrate our amazing community—one paw print at a time."
The business was set up after the owners Maria and Steve Rogers welcomed Finn, a Springer poodle cross - Sproodle or Springer Doodle - into their family.
"Initially, we had no issues. He was quickly toilet trained and enjoyed his walks, however as time went on, we started facing challenges with Finn's behaviour," they said.
"He became distrustful, guarded, and slightly aggressive, often stealing items. We sought help from a canine behaviourist but her strict methods didn't seem to resonate with Finn."
A house move and when when Steve had a hip replacement operation and was away overnight affected Finn's behaviour.
"During that time, Finn's aggression escalated significantly, even after my husband returned. We were at a loss for what to do," they said.
"After some reflection, we realised that Finn's behaviour might be linked to his diet. We had been unable to get his usual food and had picked up another well-known brand with eight per cent higher protein content.
"We decided to cook him some steamed rice and chicken, and by the next morning, Finn was a different dog. While not completely resolved, the excessive aggression had significantly decreased.
"This experience highlighted how much we didn't know about canine nutrition and behaviour. During his rehabilitation, my husband took courses on nutrition and behaviour.
"We knew we couldn't be the only ones struggling to understand dog food labels and communicate effectively with our pets.
The rest as they say is history and now Steve and Maria are getting ready to open their new shop in Sandbach market shortly.
