Firefighters from Middlewich and Winsford were called out to a car which had struck a telegraph pole and rolled over on to its side.

The incident happened at 9.33 pm last night (Sunday) in Byley Lane, Byley near Middlewich.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to check the vehicle and surrounding area for hotspots, and none were identified.

"Specialist equipment was used to carefully right the vehicle, and crews carried out safety checks to ensure there were no further hazards. The incident was then handed over to police."
