Cheshire East Council staff challenge fundraises over £2000 for Cancer Research UK

Twelve staff members at Cheshire East Council have done their bit for charity.

The civil servants have raised a stunning amount of money for Cancer Research UK.

The group of Cheshire East Council employees have just took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, to fundraise £2125, plus £508 in GiftAid, for the cancer charity.

125 people pledged funds for the crowdfunder, and you too still can on this link.

The total distance covered per person was 24.5 miles, reaching a combined elevation total of 2153 meters or 7063 feet.

Cheshire East Council CEO Rob Polkinghorne praised those who took park: "A huge congratulations to the dedicated Cheshire East Council team who completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge this weekend!

 "Our determination and teamwork not only saw us conquer the peaks but also raise over £2,000 for Cancer Research UK (CRUK).
