Choirs get ready to hit all the right notes in Jubilee concert at Sandbach Town Hall this weekend

By Deborah Bowyer 30th May 2022

Two choirs are getting together this weekend for a spectacular concert celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and 70 years of music.

Sandbach U3A Choir and Crewe Male Voice Choir will be featuring songs from the Beatles to Elvis, Rodgers and Hammerstein and the Carpenters at a concert in Sandbach.

And organisers say there will also be a special treat and tribute to the Platinum Jubilee as they sing both on their own as a choir and together as a combined choir.

A spokesperson said: "The concert features songs from the last 70 years, from the Beatles to Elvis and Rodgers & Hammerstein to the Carpenters.

"Each choir will sing its own repertoire with some items sung as a combined choir. Expect a tribute to the Platinum Jubilee as well."

Tickets are priced at £8.50 each and £4.00 for children. They are available from choir members and from the Black Cat Coffee Shop, Welles Street, Sandbach.
