Members of Congleton Beartown Classic Car Club helped raise money for the Sandbach branch of a stroke group when they took their classic cars along for an exhibition.

Rolls Royces, MGs, a Bentley, Triumph TR6 and Jaquar E Types were all on display in the car park at Sandbach Rugby Club in Bradwall Road today (Wednesday).

Rowland Griggs, group leader of the Sandbach Stroke Survivors Speech and Language Support Group said: "We're grateful to the classic car owners who brought their cars along today.

"We're hoping to raise more than £200. Last year we held a Macmillan coffee event which raised around £400. "

Sandbach Mayor, Councillor John Arnold, was invited along to the event.
