Conifer tree blaze near Sandbach

Firefighters were called out to a blaze in conifer trees near Sandbach last night.

One fire engine from Holmes Chapel went to the scene n Smethwick Lane, Brereton at 10.46 pm.

The crew used two hose reels to put out the fire then used a thermal imaging camera to monitor hotspots while continuing to damp down the trees.
