Council issue barbecue ban in parks across Cheshire

Cheshire East Council have issued a ban on the use of barbecues in the borough's parks.
Councillor Mick Warren, chair of Cheshire East Council's environment and communities committee, said: "The council made a decision recently to ban the use of barbecues in its parks and open spaces.
"The use of barbecues can have a negative reaction to the environment. They can also have health and safety implications for other users of our parks, particularly small children and animals.
The ban will include Sandbach Park and and all other parks across the town and neighbouring areas.
