Council seeks views on new corporate plan
By James Kelly 2nd Oct 2020
Cheshire East Council is asking residents, business and other organisations in the borough to give their feedback on its plan for the next four years.
The council's new Corporate Plan sets out the vision and priorities for the council, covering the full range of council services, from looking after vulnerable residents to road building and maintenance, inward investment, bin collection and built development.
The vision set out in the draft plan is "Open, Fair and Green", with the aims of:
• An open and enabling organisation;
• A council which empowers and cares about people; and• A thriving and sustainable place.
• Beneath these aims sits a range of priorities and planned actions. The plan is the council's overarching strategy. It supports and informs all other council strategies and plans, and the council's work with partners. The council is now asking for your feedback. Councillor Sam Corcoran, leader of the council said: "One of our key priorities set out in this plan is to 'listen, learn and respond to our residents.' We are taking this opportunity to check in with residents, to help them understand what we plan to do, and why.
