Residents worried about a plan for a development at a former doctor's house in Sandbach have until next week to make objections.

An application has been made to Cheshire East Council's planning department for a development in Middlewich Road.

A plan has been submitted to build a house on land adjacent to 180 Middlewich Road, including formation of new bridge over a pond to an outbuilding, new access and associated works.

Councillor Nicola Cook, the Elworth ward Cheshire East councillor is 'calling in' the application due to residents' concerns.

She said: "For those applications which are recommended to be decided by a planning officer I do have the option to "call in" an application.

"This means that if the planning reasons I have given are accepted, an application will be reviewed by a Public Planning Committee.

"Due to resident concerns, I am calling in the planning application connected to 180 Middlewich Road which will be known by many residents as Dr Mercer's house."

Full details about the planning application can be found at here

The last date to submit comments is Wednesday, August 2nd and a decision is due to be made by August 31st.
