Firefighters were called to a chimney breast fire in Crewe Road, Sandbach.

The incident happened at 12.34 pm on Wednesday (13 May). One fire engine from Crewe went to the incident.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "Chimney rods and a water backpack were used to extinguish the fire, and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots. It is believed to have been caused by debris in the chimney."
