We've all watched the famous 'Repair Shop' programme on TV where people take along their treasured items which need a bit of TLC and repair.
Now Sandbach Partnership is launching its own version - Sandbach Repair Café - supported by Repair Café Wales.
Maybe you've got a broken toaster, coffee table with a wobbly leg or a jumper full of moth holes?
Don't throw them away – pack them off and take yourself down to New Horizons, Unity Methodist Church, in Wheelock, tomorrow (September 16th) between 11am and 2pm.
A group of volunteer repair experts will be available to help make all possible repairs.
People visiting the Repair Café are invited to bring along their broken items from home, including bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys, textiles, jewellery, scooter, toaster etc.
Anything broken, other than microwaves, white goods or safety items such as . child car seats, are welcome.
The aim is to help reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.
Helen Dorney, project lead and chair of Sandbach Partnership said: "Every year, we throw away huge amounts, even items which have very little wrong with them, and which could easily be used again after a simple repair.
"Many people don't feel confident to repair things themselves and sometimes we forget that we can have things repaired, instead of using up valuable resources by buying new items.
"As well as being better for the environment, our Repair Café aims to save people money, share precious repair skills that are being lost, and bring the local community together at a low-key, enjoyable event."
