'Do not approach' warn police as they hunt for prison absconder with links to Cheshire

Police are hunting for a prison absconder with links to Cheshire.

Dominic Scott absconded from HMP Sudbury on Monday, September 21.

The 43-year-old had previously been sentenced to six years imprisonment for robbery at Lewes Crown Court in July 2023.

Scott is described as having a stocky build, about 5ft 6ins tall, with a bald head, blue eyes and facial hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue coat and jeans.

As well as Cheshire, Scott has links to Greater Manchester and Lancashire (Worsley, Salford, Little Hulton and Haslingden), Merseyside (Liverpool and Wirral) and Sussex (Brighton and Hove).

Derbyshire Police have said that the public 'should not approach him'.

"Instead, anyone who may have seen him or has any information about his whereabouts, is asked to contact the constabulary via the website, Facebook or by calling 101, quoting the reference 1144 of September 21.
