A couple who threw open their doors during this weekend's Sandbach Garden Trail shared their secrets of gardening.

Kath and Dave Millington have spent the last 53 years perfecting their beautiful garden, complete with a stream, in Belmont Avenue.

The couple served refreshments during the open days at the weekend, the second part of the garden trail.

Stuart and Tricia Naylor as well as Lynn and David Slack also in Belmont Avenue threw open their doors along with Peter and Coral Hulland in High Bank, Bradwall Road.

A spokesperson said: "Whatever you want from your garden, you are sure to gain some great ideas and remember these aren't TV gardeners with big budgets and big spaces."

More gardens are open during the final weekend, August 19th and August 20th from 2 pm until 5 pm.

Each year, the trail supports different charities. This year it is supporting Sandbach Concert Series and Sandbach Woodland and Wildlife Group.
