Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to tackle a fire in a pick-up truck in Holmes Chapel.

Firefighters were called to Bomish Lane at 2.27 pm yesterday (Monday).  

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A pick-up truck was heavily involved in fire.

"Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to tackle the flames and specialist matting to soak up oil that had leaked onto the road.  

"Police were in attendance to manage traffic."
