Firefighters called to M6 at Sandbach after wheel and brakes overheat

Firefighters were called to the M6 northbound between junctions 17 and 18 today (Tuesday) after a wheel and rear brake had overheated.

Two fire engines from Crewe went to the incident at 6.22 am.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "A wheel and the rear brake on a trailer was cooled by firefighters and monitored after they overheated."
