Firefighters rush to put out fire after black smoke floods the area

Two fire engines from Crewe went to help put out a blaze due to the amount of black smoke in the area.

Firefighters went to Mill Lane in Sandbach at 3.32 pm yesterday (Tuesday).

A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "A fire that had been set on fire intentionally required firefighters to attend due to the amount of black smoke in the area.

"The crews used a hose reel to put the fire out."
