Two fire engines from Crewe went to help put out a blaze due to the amount of black smoke in the area.
Firefighters went to Mill Lane in Sandbach at 3.32 pm yesterday (Tuesday).
A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "A fire that had been set on fire intentionally required firefighters to attend due to the amount of black smoke in the area.
"The crews used a hose reel to put the fire out."
