A Sandbach football club is dedicating its match tomorrow to the 11-year-old fan who sadly died in an accident.

Junior Groves died in a fatal collision in Middlewich shortly before 2.15 pm on April 28th.

Players at Sandbach United observed a minute's silence at a previous match but tomorrow (Saturday) under 16 year olds will get in free in honour of the avid fan.

The club plays Stafford Town at Hind Heath Road when all under 16-year-olds will get in free.

A Sandbach United spokesperson said: "Tomorrow we celebrate the life of one of our loyal supporters, Junior Groves.

"We would like as many of Juniors's friends to come down to the game and make as much noise as possible, just like he did so many times in the Shed End.

"We have therefore made the match free for all under 16s so please spread the word and come along and help us celebrate his life."

The crash happened in Booth Lane, Moston, Middlewich, near to the junction with Tetton Lane.

Police have reissued their appeal for witnesses to a fatal collision involving a black Fiesta ST and a pedal cyclist. (Photo: Nub News)

Are you going to tomorrow's match? Kick-off is 3 pm.
