Residents living in Holmes Chapel near Sandbach have a busy weekend ahead -  with a major music festival nearby underway.

Bluedot at Jodrell Bank, which attracts a big following, opened yesterday (Thursday) with one of Britain's most famous living composers, Max Richter.

Alex Greensmith, Editor of our sister site, Macclesfield Nub News, was there and captured the moment with this wonderful photo.

The four-day festival, in its sixth year, continues today (Friday) and finishes on Sunday with the legendary Grace Jones.

Other big headliners at the music and science festival include Irish electropopper, Róisín Murphy.

You can Get your tickets here and listen to a playlist of the bands to take the stage HERE.
