Free walk-in mobile health service is in Sandbach again today to put residents on the road to success

Are you in Sandbach today (Tuesday) and want a chat about your health and well-being?
The bus is in Waitrose car park today until 3.30 pm and then on Thursday (February 16th) it's in Alsager at the Cedars Medical Centre from 10 am until 3pm.
A spokesperson for the service said: "Everyone is at risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease and some forms of dementia.
"The good news is that these conditions can often be prevented – even if you have a history of them in your family."
The free wellbeing check is like an MOT for your body, health, and wellbeing and takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
The check includes:
- blood pressure checks
- heart screening
- advice on:
- alcohol consumption
- diabetes
- diet and healthy eating
- healthy wellbeing
- living with Covid (importance of vaccinations, vaccination clinic availability, Covid-19 LFT kits)
- mental health (including Mentell)
- physical activity, exercise and fitness
- stopping smoking
