A Sandbach man has joined a multi-award-winning homebuilder, operating across the North West and North Wales.

Alex Bramley, who lives in the town and went to Sandbach School, has joined Castle Green Homes as a senior quantity surveyor.

Alex started out as a bricklayer, before gaining a BSc (Hons) in quantity surveying from the University of Salford in 2012.

Since then, Alex has worked for a small subcontracting company and gained his most valuable experience at a large national housebuilder based in Manchester, where he spent seven years.

"Castle Green wanted someone with experience of the North West to support their growth in the region and it was a challenge I was keen to take on," Alex, 35.

"Working for a medium-sized company is a breath of fresh air as the company is managed much more personably and they want people to progress.

"I'm confident that we'll be able to recruit a strong commercial team in the North West to help Castle Green grow from a medium housebuilder to a large one."

Alex joins two other new colleagues at Castle Green Homes, headquartered in St Asaph with an office at Preston Brook.

In the year ending March 31, 2022, the company built 280 homes and achieved turnover of £78 million. It aims to deliver 500+ legal completions by 2024.

The fifth consecutive year of record financial results helped Castle Green earn the title 'small housebuilder of the year' at the 2022 Housebuilder Awards.

It has also revolutionised homebuying with the introduction of Willow – a digital new homes assistant. The digital transformation earned recognition at the Housebuilder Awards, Marketing Week Awards and Construction Marketing Awards.
