Fans of the global megastar, Harry Styles, were treated to a sneak preview of his new waxwork figure today (Tuesday) before it makes its way to Blackpool.

There are now two waxwork figures of the iconic pop star in the country and local fans got a chance to see the newest one in Harry's hometown, Holmes Chapel.

'Harries', as his fans are called, descended on W. Mandeville Bakery in Macclesfield Road where Harry worked as a young teenager, to get glimpse of the waxwork.

The figure, which has taken 800 hours to make and cost upwards of a staggering £150,000 to create, is being unveiled at Madame Tussaud's in Blackpool on Saturday.

Posters saying 'Harry is coming home' were put up in various shop windows throughout Holmes Chapel advertising the waxwork figure event.

Fans agreed the waxwork, dressed in festival gear, approved by Styles himself and his team, is so lifelike.

Carys Holt (19), a tour guide with the recently set-up 'Harrys Home Village Tours' revealed here said: "It looks really good and is so real. "

Harry Styles will be among 80 other famous faces at the seaside resort after topping the polls in a survey for most wanted figures at Madame Tussauds Blackpool.

The singer is renowned as one of the most successful solo artists to emerge from a band.

His musical career began in 2010 as part of One Direction, a boy band formed on the music competition series The X Factor.

They became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time with Styles later after going solo bringing out one of the world's top ten best-selling albums of the year, with its lead single Sign of the Times topping the UK singles chart.

Styles has received various accolades during his career, including six Brit Awards, three Grammy Awards and three MTV Video Music Awards.

He has also appeared in numerous films and was the first man to appear solo on the cover of Vogue magazine.

Ross Morgan from Madame Tussauds Blackpool, said: "I am absolutely delighted to be adding Harry to our A-list line-up.

"The public loves him and have been asking for him for some time – so we are genuinely really pleased to have now been able to make this happen.

"When we brought Harry to Holmes Chapel we were swamped by adorning fans who really did believe it was "the real" Harry!"

It takes a team of 25 artists to work on one wax figure, spending a total of 800 hours collectively.

This includes: 350 hours to sculpt the figure, 187 hours to insert a head of hair and 30 hours to make a set of teeth.
