How an adventure loving dad turned a passion for Hot Wheels into a business

By Deborah Bowyer   23rd Nov 2025

Adventure loving Scott Lewis has always had a passion for cars and having fun.

And when his son, Jude, took a shine to Hot Wheels cars Scott, who spent eight years in Tenerife as a diving instructor, joined in the fun.

Father and son spent hours playing with the Hot Wheels creating mayhem on the tracks and seeing who could go fastest and finish first.

But what the father-of-two didn't realise was his son's love for model cars would spark an idea to start a business for other children to enjoy the fun - a business Scott has called 'Tracks and Toys Family Fun'.

"I've always been the life and soul of the party, making people laugh and entertaining children. Everyone said I should work with children," said Scott, known as Scotty to the children.

"It just started from there. We held a Track Fest earlier in the year to see what the interest was and that went well so it's gone from there."

Scott, who lives in Wheelock, has set up a business called Tracks & Toys Family Fun which is delighting Hot Wheels fans all over the area.

He has held 'Supercharged Sunday' at the Swan and Chequers, a Hot Wheels tracks breakfast club when 20 'racers' turned up for gravity defying loops to epic overtakes.

And he's even painted a van in a Hot Wheels design which has a track attached to the roof when it's parked up an an event.

Wheely Wednesday' sessions have also become popular not to mention Hot Wheels children's parties and a host of other events.

Scott said: "I started doing a Tracks & Toys Family Fun You Tube channel which is popular. It's just wonderful to see children's faces light up. Every event is as special as we make it and we aim to have lots of fun."

Scott has around 30 expertly designed tracks and various Hot Wheel cars and toys and he films for his You Tube channel whenever gets the chance on family holidays or days out.

"Everyone in my family knows me as crazy Uncle Scotty. Children see the world differently and it's good to inspire this creativity and love for fun."

Not surprisingly, Scott's Hot Wheels business is going down a storm with local children not to mention mums, dads and grandparents.

"We set everything up and handle all the details so children can relax and just have fun. We want everyone who comes along to have lots of fun and enjoy taking part."
