Hundreds flock to see Sandbach's rich links with transport at two-day event

Hundreds of people have flocked to this weekend's Sandbach Transport Festival which finishes with the exit parade today (Sunday).
The legendary two-day Sandbach Transport Festival celebrates the market town's famous links with the transport world which started with Foden trucks in Elworth and then included ERF.

Today (Sunday) there's another full line-up of entertainment including the classic cars and Foden and ERF trucks on display not to mention the world-famous Foden's Band playing live on stage at 3 pm.

Mayor, Councillor John Arnold will officially opened the festival yesterday (Saturday) followed by the On the Edge motorcycle stunts on Scotch Common at 11.30 am, 1 pm and 2.15 pm and a Fusion Extreme BMX show at 12.15 pm, 1.45 pm and 3 pm.

Various historic vehicles are on show today which follows the music on the main music stand on The Cobbles yesterday (Saturday) featuring a range of acts from tributes to Shirley Bassey, Lionel Richie, Tina Turner and George Michael.

On Sunday (26 April) various classic and vintage cars will be on display on Scotch Common while the High Street will be lined with crowds for the famous exist parade at 4 pm.
