An organisation near Alsager is offering people the chance to take part in a special outdoor workshop this weekend – to celebrate the Autumn Equinox.

Wild Rumpus, based at The Whirligig in Lunts Moss, Scholar Green, is running a special outdoor singing workshop led by natural voice practitioner, Siobhan Donnelly.

A spokesperson said: "We'll be singing joyful music from around the world in a beautiful cappella harmony, and celebrating the turning of the year with songs about planets, nature and the seasons.

"All levels of singing experience are welcome. It doesn't matter if you've never sung in a group before – we'll be singing by ear, so you don't need to be able to read music"

The workshop runs from 2pm – 4pm on Sunday (September 18th) and tickets are £10 per person, which includes a hot drink.

They are available from this link  https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/autumn-equinox-choir-tickets-414305026487

Participants are urged to wear sturdy footwear and take waterproofs as the event will go ahead whatever the weather.

Siobhan Donnelly is a natural voice practitioner who has been leading singing groups for nearly ten years.

She believes that singing should be about enjoyment and expression, and not so much about getting all of the notes right all of the time.

Siobhan works with people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, and has run workshops in schools, hospices, care homes, prisons and at festivals.

She works with groups to help improve mental health and wellbeing, develop confidence and communication, and build communities, aiming to make creative opportunities accessible to all.

Wild Rumpus work internationally from their space at Lunts Moss "deepening nature connectedness" through a projects including festivals and events.
