Sandbach residents interested in standing for election to Sandbach Town Council have until today (Wednesday) to get their nomination papers in.

In Sandbach, one seat is vacant in the Town ward following the resignation of David Jack.

If more than one person puts their name forward for that seat then that election will also be held on Thursday, April 21.

Meanwhile down the road in Middlewich there are two seats up for the grabs in the Cledford ward in Middlewich following the resignations of Dr Peter Hirst and Pauline Hickey.

If more than two candidates put themselves forward then an election will be also be held on Thursday, April 21.

Any prospective candidates for either of these two town councils must submit their nomination papers by 4pm on Wednesday, March 23, at the latest.
