Sandbach RUFC is celebrating its third consecutive year in partnership with their sponsors Swansway Jaguar Crewe.

The welcome news comes as sports teams up and down the country face precarious financial situations as a result of the pandemic.

Matt Hill, Head of Business at Swansway Jaguar Crewe, said: "This year more than ever, we wanted to continue to show our support to a local sports team because as an industry, like many others, contact sport has suffered due to the pandemic.

"We use sports whether as participants or spectators to feel part of a community which we believe has been hugely missed during 2020."

The family-owned firms has sponsored the 1st XV team since 2018.

Paddy Davenport, Sandbach RUFC President, welcomed the announcement, saying: "We were absolutely delighted when Swansway Jaguar Crewe renewed their sponsorship of the 1st XV team when so many are cutting back."

He added: "Supporting local feels very real to us here at the club through this new, two year relationship and we very much look forward to working together into 2021 and beyond as the sport starts to return to the pitch".

The club's director of rugby, Andrew Bird believes the partnership "demonstrates the high standards" of the club and the 1st XV team in particular.

"We as coaching staff are continually aiming to provide the most professional, amateur rugby in the region and having Jaguar alongside us shows that intent," he added.
