You have until November 8 to respond to an epic document on the future of Sandbach.

The 94 page plan talks about how Cheshire East Council can breathe new life into our town over the coming decades.

Following last month's launch of the survey announcing that Sandbach residents can have their say on a project to inject new life into the town centre, Sandbach Nub News is sharing the survey again before the deadline to make sure as many residents have their say as possible.

Key priorities of the survey included claiming more road space in front and behind the Town Hall/Market Hall, making it more pedestrian friendly with plants, art, events and lighting.

Another included addressing congestion on Old Mill Road and including cycle connections to the Train Station and Sandbach Park.

The document also wants Sandbach to promote their heritage and tourism assets, perhaps exploring new technology like QR codes to create walking heritage trails to encourage more visitors here.

The document also suggested linking up with a local marketing company - like in Wilmslow - to boost the profile of the town.

The event also suggested raising the towns profile though a What's On guide, but of course, Nub News already has one of them! ;)

You can find more about the survey and fill it in on this link, though you may need an hour to spare.

You can submit your comments either by:

  • Completing this short online survey
  • Emailing [email protected]
  • Writing to Research and Consultation, Cheshire East Council, Westfields, Middlewich Road, Sandbach, CW11 1HZ

Once again, the deadline is Tuesday November 8.
