FIRST GLIMPSE: Life during Covid has been hard for most people but an enterprising duo have turned the pandemic on its head to bring cheer to Sandbach.

Partners Judy Henson (32) and Stacey Rowley (33) launched Sandbach Party Supplies 13 months ago after Judy lost her job with a sports company in Manchester during COVID.

Both had always loved giving children's parties and helping others organise and run parties due to the "feel-good" factor parties provide.

And at the weekend they held their own party as they opened the doors to their new shop in Welles Street selling everything you will need for a party.

The fun-filled shop stocks around 700 products from candles and tableware to balloon arches and will be run alongside the company's popular website https://www.sandbachpartysupplies.co.uk

A stunning flower wall greets shoppers are they walk in and this is an idea which the couple are considering adding to their growing business.

"Our original idea was to open a shop. We were just waiting for the right location and premises to become available and we're absolutely delighted with how it has turned out and the location," said Judy who is a trained lifeguard and coach.

"I've always loved children's events and was a football coach before. It's like finding your inner child.

"Most of the summer was taken up with arranging and planning picnics and baby showers.

"We're so excited about the future and helping people with their events and parties. Our Elf breakfasts are proving popular and our bell tents were popular in the summer.

"I think the pandemic has made people realise how much fun parties can bring. Lots of people want to treat family and friends and make events such as birthdays big occasions."
