Man is arrested following a one-vehicle collision near the canal in Sandbach

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of drink driving following a one vehicle collision involving a van near the canal in Moston.

A Cheshire police spokesperson said: "At 8.12pm on Wednesday March 1st, police were called to a canal bridge in Hall Lane, Moston following reports of a one vehicle collision involving a van.

"A 23-year-old man from Congleton was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and remains in custody."
