Meet the Sandbach man so passionate about whisky he organises his own festivals

Whisky is synonymous with Scotland, but a town much further south is fast becoming linked with this wonderful smooth spirit.
Steve Hyland is a whisky connoisseur and has been collecting and learning about famous names for as long as he can remember.
His love for the glorious drink began around 40 years ago when he made regular trips north of the border to visit distilleries on his way to seeing family.
Now many years later, the knowledgeable man has around 250 bottles in his collection, some of which will be shared at the second Sandbach Whisky Festival next weekend.
The event takes place next Saturday (February 3rd) at Sandbach Town Hall in the ballroom, charter room and boardroom from 3pm until 11 pm.
There are so many different types and names," says Steve, whose 18-year-old Highland Park is his "go to" all round one due to its "well-balanced" flavour.
"I have my collection carefully stored away. I've spent years reading up on the subject and learning more about whisky.
"I just love the drink, it's the 'spirit of adventure' and I know so many other people do too. We get whisky lovers coming from all over the country for the annual event.

It's the second year running that Steve, who works for Sandbach Town Council, has held the festival which features a five metre long 'Hyland Single Malt' whisky bar.
"It's quite a sight," said Steve, who has revealed there's something different about this year's festival.
For the first time there will be Cheshire whisky with master classes and also an auction of collector's whisky.
"We like to feature something for everyone and the masterclasses are a nice addition. You don't often think of whisky being made in our county but Weetwood is the firm doing this in Kelsall."
