The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for today (Friday 14 November).
The Met Office says Storm Claudia, named by the Spanish Meteorological Service due to ongoing impacts in Canary Islands, will bring rain and wind, in what will be a very wet day.
"Rain will gradually spread further north through the warning areas on Friday and into the early hours of Saturday morning," say the Met Office.
"Gusty winds in the northwest of England and northwest Wales is an additional hazard, with 60-70mph gusts possible in exposed places within the warning area.”
The yellow warning means that there is a 'slight' chance of damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs.
There is also a slight chance of power cuts and a 'small' chance of injuries and danger to life from flying debris.
The Met Office has also said there is a small chance that some roads or bridges could close, and that there could similarly be cancellations on road, rail and air services nearby.
A spokesperson advised that residents should check for any loose items outside your home and amend travel plans if necessary.
