A Middlewich house could soon be used as a supported residential home for adults with learning difficulties and for care leavers.

Accurate Care Group Limited has applied to Cheshire East Council for a certificate of lawful development for the use of the property in Angus Grove as revealed in this application here .

A covering letter submitted with the application states: "The home will accommodate a maximum of three adults, aged 18-65, with learning difficulties, care leavers and individuals with mental health difficulties to support the transition to independent living, providing a safe and supportive environment where individuals can develop essential life skills, gain independence and receive personalised care and assistance, as required."

Accurate Care Group specialises in the provision of care for adults across the Cheshire area.

The letter states: "The home will offer an atmosphere of a family environment with the residents supported by two members of staff covering each 24-hour period.

"The residents will live together as a single household with an element of care provided and will attend educational classes, undertake indoor and community-based activities, be expected to do house chores, and will have routine as with any other household.

"They will be supported and supervised by a consistent group of highly-skilled team with a minimum of two staff at the property at any given time during day and night.

"A specialist mental health team will also support the occupants where necessary."

The property is currently in use as a dwelling house and the letter says it will not be changed structurally.

The application, number 25/0281/CLPUD, can be viewed here on the planning portal on Cheshire East Council's website.
