Motorists faced delays in Sandbach after a two vehicle accident near the M6

Police are appealing to witnesses after an accident involving two vehicles near Sandbach today (Friday).

Old Mill Road and the slip road of Junction 17 of the M6 were blocked as a result of the accident at 12.15 pm.

A Cheshire police spokesperson said: "Police were called to Old Mill Road, Sandbach following reports of a collision involving a black Jaguar and a grey and black Renault Captur.

"It is not known if there are any injuries. Road closures have now been lifted."
