A band who met at Sandbach School are getting ready to stage their second youth festival in Crewe this weekend.

Bored Adventures found there was a lack of venues for them to play live locally so they started their own event.

'Unsigned Crewe' is the result of their hard work which takes place at Tom's Tap and Brewhouse in Thomas Street on Saturday (June 8th) and it's the second year the event has been held.

Bored Adventures describe themselves as an "explosive post-punk indie band who are constantly pushing boundaries".

They formed back on 2018 when they were all students at Sandbach School in Crewe Road.

Made up of five musicians – Leo Jones, Ben Kinnear, Ethan Rogers, Connor Timmis and Harry Longworth – their music is described as a 'blend of chaos and precision'.

"We used to meet in my garage and play music together. We all met at Sandbach School," said Leo who plays the drums and lives near Nantwich.

"We wanted to create an event for young local bands as we fed up that there was nowhere for us to play.

"We're all looking forward to Saturday's event and everyone playing live."

A band called Blitz are headlining Saturday's event. Other bands and musicians taking part are Xan, Dylan Bugg, Sugar Donuts, The Voke, Everything Under the Sun, Sativa and Bored Adventures.

Doors open at 2 pm and tickets which are available from here  cost £8 for 18+, £3 under 18 and £20 for a family (two adults and two under 18s). Children under 10 are free.

And in August, Bored Adventures are staging another music event, this time in Sandbach at Sandbach Cricket Club in Hind Heath Road.
