A farm park near Sandbach opened its doors today (Monday) to visitors for the first time this season.

Owners of Lakemore Farm Park in Haslington, are looking forward to welcoming visitors to the family-owned farm for the first time this year.

Debbie Lewis, who runs the farm park with husband David, says new attractions have been added to the popular venue for the 2022 season.

They include an outdoor mud kitchen for children to play in as well as a nature trail, the latter which is currently in the pipeline.

And the popular Clay Lane attraction has added new items to its café menu as well as the popular Bidlea range of ice creams.

"It's great to be back open again," says Debbie, whose father started the business years ago.

"There's plenty of space so visitors can social distance if they want to walking round.

"We're very much an outdoor activity so if anyone has concerns about COVID they have room to be in their own space."

Debbie added: "We're very much about showing and sharing this space with others.

"Lots of our visitors comment how lovely it is to be able to come and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. It's a bit of a haven and we love sharing it."

As well as the centrepiece lake complete with its kingfishers and other wildlife which the farm park is named after, there's an indoor play barn, mini golf, an outdoor play area and a variety of farm animals.

The indoor play barn has a cow model where children can try their hand at milking a cow.

Outside there's a variety of animals from donkeys, ponies, cows and sheep as well as a llama.

The farm has Charollais and Texel Sheep award-winning Limousin cattle plus Molly the goat who loves to sunbathe!

But star attraction at the opening day was the farm's two newly born lambs and they are expecting more to arrive soon.

"There's something here for everyone," says Debbie.

The entrance cost to Lakemore is £3.95 with children under 3 years. Tickets can be bought Click here.
