Police alerted after fire involving skip in Sandbach

Police have been informed after a skip is believed to have been set alight deliberately in Elworth, Sandbach at the weekend.

Firefighters were called to a property in Harry Mortimer Drive on Saturday morning at 12.37 am.   

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A small fire involving a skip was extinguished with a hose reel by firefighters.

"The skip was adjacent to a property and the fire is believed to have been started deliberately so police were informed."
