Members of a 'Born Again Christian' group staged a protest as Sandbach Pride paraded through the streets at the weekend.

A small group of protesters carrying banners set up outside the Black Bear Lodge on Saturday (September 7th) getting into dialogue with supporters of the event.

The protestors had come from The Wirral and Chester area, carrying banners quoting beliefs such as "Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees".

A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "At around 10.30am on Saturday 7 September police were called to reports of a small protest at Sandbach Pride.

"Officers attended and spoke to all those present, where it was found that no offences had been committed."
