Police release details of M6 accidents near Sandbach which caused traffic hold-ups

Cheshire police have released details about the two accidents which caused havoc on the M6 near Sandbach today (Friday).

They say they were called to a three-vehicle collision on the M6 northbound at 11.20 am between junctions 17 and 18.

A Cheshire police spokesperson said: "The collision involved two cars and a van. The occupants are believed to have minor injuries."

The other was reported at 10.50am, say police, between junctions 18 and 19 of the M6 northbound.

"It was a one vehicle collision. There were no reported injuries," say police.
